I created the soap recipe based on soap qualities that I love – a nice hard bar of soap that is creamy with lots of bubbles!  No fragrance or micas were used to make this soap. Even though the soap is unscented, it still has a wonderful fresh smell to it. French Pink Clay is said to cleanse and detoxify the skin, remove dead skin cells and create a refreshed appearance. It is wonderful for sensitive skin, and I find it leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth.

Ingredients: Coconut oil, olive oil, palm kernel oil, shea butter, castor oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, French pink clay.

Peace, love and the 60′s came to mind when we created this soap. We got really creative with the colors the day we made this. No two bars are exactly alike, but all have splashes of aqua, purple, blue, pink, red and cream swirls. The scent is sweet and fresh, with notes of peach, tangerine, lemon drops, and cotton candy. This is our take on one of our favorite places in Connecticut: Old Saybrook. Old Saybrook is located along the Connecticut shoreline, right where the mouth of the Connecticut River meets Long Island Sound. Old Saybrook is also famous for being the town where Katharine Hepburn lived. Our Old Sheabrook soap contains plenty of Shea butter, known for its moisturizing and healing properties. This lovely soap is scented with a wonderful salty, beach air fragrance, and smells just like the salty air as you near the beach. This is a great unisex scent. If you love the smell of salt air, this soap will not disappoint.

If you live in Connecticut, then you probably are wondering why we’ve spelled this special town’s name wrong. It is actually South Glastonbury, but the town has so many strawberry fields it is easy to think about strawberries when South Glastonbury comes to mind. South Glastonbury is on the banks of the Connecticut River and is the home of many wonderful farms and a popular place to pick your own strawberries. This is our creative interpretation of South Glastonbury; this soap has a mild strawberry scent and a gentle pink color. Ingredients: Distilled water, coconut oil, olive oil, canola oil, organic, sustainable palm oil, shea butter, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, fragrance, mica. Vegan friendly. Smells like Christmas, but great all year round! Contains a blend of orange, green apple, peppermint and clove scent. Purple and gold swirls sparkle when the soap is wet. Spring Garden soap was the brainchild of my mom, who loves the smell of lilac and cut grass. Inspired by the mature lilac plants that grow in my yard, we have combined these 2 lovely scents into a bar that is a bit floral, but not overpowering. The lilac is toned down by the earthy freshness of cut grass.

This fragrance is a bit hard to describe. It is citrus-y and sweet and I think it smells wonderful. According to the fragrance creator, Energy contains a blend of citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, with hints of fresh cucumber and jasmine, with a touch of pineapple, blackberry and champagne. I mostly pick up the citrus part. My husband says this reminds him of an orange creamsicle! Either way, to me this is happiness in a bar of soap. The scent is fun and the bright yellow could chase away any cloudy day.

Patchouli is a scent that is really hard to explain. The only way I can explain it is to say it is earthy. It’s a scent that people are either completely wild over, or one they absolutely hate. I recently discovered I’m wild for it! To me, it smells like damp earth, but in a strange inviting kind of way!

This soap contains no artificial colors or fragrances. I did not use fragrance oil in this soap, I used the real thing…dark patchouli essential oil. I wanted this to be a brownish soap, but also natural and good for your skin, so I’ve added some Rhassoul clay for color and texture. The result is a nice, rustic bar of soap that I hope you will love!

Spiced mahogany – a musky and masculine vegan soap. Contains notes of bergamont, apple wood, patchouli, cedarwood and spice.

This is a wonderfully masculine scent for the man in your life, although many women are fond of the scent too! The scent is complex, being woodsy, musky, and a little bit spicy all rolled into one.

Our natural wood soap dishes are the perfect accompaniment for our handmade soaps. It is important to keep handmade soaps out of standing water. These wood soap dishes are untreated to wick moisture away from the soap and have open sides for water drainage. Can be used in either the shower, or next to a sink. These soap dishes were hand cut and sanded by us in Connecticut.

Can be run through the top drawer of a dishwasher when cleaning is needed.

Sometimes bad things happen to good soaps. They lose their scent, they get bumped and bruised, or cut unevenly. Sometimes, there’s not anything even wrong with the soap other than it being a slow seller.

When I think tropical, I think about sipping a fruity drink on the beach of some Caribbean island. This is what inspired me to make this Tropical Vacation soap the way I did. I created the soap in muted blue, green and yellow colors as I imagine the way the water might look. The fragrance is a mix of tropical mango, coconut and pineapple – there’s that fruity drink I was looking for! This is a great unisex scent that is not overly sweet.

This soap is vegan and all natural – contains no synthetic fragrance and no synthetic colorants. The soap contains lots of skin-soothing shea butter as well as Moroccan Rhassoul clay. The cedar scent is a wonderful, woodsy, masculine scent.

The light to medium brown color of this soap comes from the Moroccan Rhassoul clay. This clay is mined from the earth in Morocco, and is said to reduce dryness and flakiness, improve skin clarity and elasticity. It is rich in magnesium, potassium and calcium.

Our Arabian Spice soap was a huge hit with men and women at our last craft show.  Our supplier describes the fragrance as “a blend of Myrrh and Orange, with middle notes of Ginger, Cinnamon and Cloves…rounded out with Caraway Seed and Vanilla.”  The scent is warm, spicy with only a hint of sweet.

Our soap is beautifully colored with gold, amber, rust and tiny bits of black. We used plenty of olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter to produce a soap that great for your skin.

This soap reminds me of surf and sand. The tops of the soaps are colored with Moroccan Rhassoul clay, giving the appearance of sand on a beach. The Rhassoul clay acts as a mild exfoliant.
