Even though the soap is unscented, it still has a wonderful fresh smell to it. French Pink Clay is said to cleanse and detoxify the skin, remove dead skin cells and create a refreshed appearance. It is wonderful for sensitive skin, and I find it leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth.

Peace, love and the 60′s came to mind when we created this soap. We got really creative with the colors the day we made this. No two bars are exactly alike, but all have splashes of aqua, purple, blue, pink, red and cream swirls. The scent is sweet and fresh, with notes of peach, tangerine, lemon drops, and cotton candy. This is our take on one of our favorite places in Connecticut: Old Saybrook. Old Saybrook is located along the Connecticut shoreline, right where the mouth of the Connecticut River meets Long Island Sound. Old Saybrook is also famous for being the town where Katharine Hepburn lived. Our Old Sheabrook soap contains plenty of Shea butter, known for its moisturizing and healing properties. This lovely soap is scented with a wonderful salty, beach air fragrance, and smells just like the salty air as you near the beach. This is a great unisex scent. If you love the smell of salt air, this soap will not disappoint.

If you live in Connecticut, then you probably are wondering why we’ve spelled this special town’s name wrong. It is actually South Glastonbury, but the town has so many strawberry fields it is easy to think about strawberries when South Glastonbury comes to mind. South Glastonbury is on the banks of the Connecticut River and is the home of many wonderful farms and a popular place to pick your own strawberries. This is our creative interpretation of South Glastonbury; this soap has a mild strawberry scent and a gentle pink color. Ingredients: Distilled water, coconut oil, olive oil, canola oil, organic, sustainable palm oil, shea butter, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, fragrance, mica. Vegan friendly. Summer is here! A delightful blend of coconut and lemongrass fragrance combined into a creamy bar of soap. Spring Garden was one of our best selling soaps last year. We made a lot of it and sold it all before Christmas. Now it is back with a beautiful new look.

Spring Garden soap was the brainchild of my mom, who loves the smell of lilac and cut grass. Inspired by the mature lilac plants that grow in my yard, we have combined these 2 lovely scents into a bar that is a bit floral, but not overpowering. The lilac is toned down by the earthy freshness of cut grass. The color is a beautiful purple and white swirl, with a little vein of gold sparkle that runs across the tops (some bars have a little gold swirl on the face of the bar as well).

This is one decadent bar of soap. At a recent craft show, I cannot tell you how many people approached us thinking this was fudge or a brownie! If you like soaps that smell like sweet and yummy desserts, you will love this.

The soap contains caramel and cream notes, with hints of Nutmeg and Praline, and of course cocoa and vanilla. This soap is a very deep, dark brown color, but there are no added colorants (the vanilla in the fragrance discolors the soap a dark brown).

Because of the dark color, the soap may leave a brownish color in your soap dish and have a pale brown lather. Rest assured this is completely harmless!

This fragrance is a bit hard to describe. It is citrus-y and sweet and I think it smells wonderful. According to the fragrance creator, Energy contains a blend of citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, with hints of fresh cucumber and jasmine, with a touch of pineapple, blackberry and champagne. I mostly pick up the citrus part. My husband says this reminds him of an orange creamsicle! Either way, to me this is happiness in a bar of soap. The scent is fun and the bright yellow could chase away any cloudy day.

This soap is a dream for anyone that loves the scent of lavender and sage. The soap is completely natural – no artificial fragrances or colors were used to make this.

I used lavender and clary sage essential oils to scent this soap. In keeping with the natural aspect of this soap, I used French Green clay to color to soap a beautiful sage green color. French Green clay is a natural colorant – the clay is actually mined from the earth, finely ground, and dried in the sun.

I pressed dried lavender buds on to the tops of the soaps. Although the lavender buds will eventually wash away, they act as a wonderful exfoliant for several uses.

Patchouli is a scent that is really hard to explain. The only way I can explain it is to say it is earthy. It’s a scent that people are either completely wild over, or one they absolutely hate. I recently discovered I’m wild for it! To me, it smells like damp earth, but in a strange inviting kind of way!

This soap contains no artificial colors or fragrances. I did not use fragrance oil in this soap, I used the real thing…dark patchouli essential oil. I wanted this to be a brownish soap, but also natural and good for your skin, so I’ve added some Rhassoul clay for color and texture. The result is a nice, rustic bar of soap that I hope you will love!

This soap was handmade by me using my favorite cocoa butter recipe. This soap has a soft fruity-floral scent that is very mild. I think the scent of the bar is more prominent when it is wet rather than when it is dry.

The soap is a sort of berry or mauve color and has lots of wild black swirls in it. The black swirls were made using activated charcoal. There are also a few darker red swirls as well. Please note that every single bar in the batch has its own look – its own pattern – so the soap you purchase may look like the ones above, or may have a completely different swirl. Each bar is one of a kind!

The story behind the “Old Lime” name, in case you were wondering:

Old Lyme, Connecticut is a quaint shoreline town that holds a lot of memories for me. Back in the 70s, we had several family outings to a cottage we rented in Old Lyme. We shared the cottage with another family that lived on our street, and the time spent in the cottage was fun and carefree. Kids running everywhere, cookouts on the beach, and sand in everything. My most vivid memory, however, was running up from the water towards my mom and dad with a giant crab hanging from my big toe! It had latched on and was not about to let go. Someone (mom? dad?) detached the crab from my toe, but boy did that thing really tear through the skin! I can’t think of Old Lyme without thinking of the happy time we spent together in our little rental cottage. Our Old Lime soap is tribute to those memories.

These wood soap dishes are untreated to wick moisture away from the soap and have open sides for water drainage. Can be used in either the shower, or next to a sink. These soap dishes were hand cut and sanded by us in Connecticut.

When I think tropical, I think about sipping a fruity drink on the beach of some Caribbean island. This is what inspired me to make this Tropical Vacation soap the way I did. I created the soap in muted blue, green and yellow colors as I imagine the way the water might look. The fragrance is a mix of tropical mango, coconut and pineapple – there’s that fruity drink I was looking for! This is a great unisex scent that is not overly sweet.

Over one pound of cocoa butter went into this soap! I created this recipe based on my need for 1) a rock hard bar of soap that 2) did not contain palm oil. I have been using this soap for several months and am very happy with it. The scent is milk and honey but it is a very, very subtle scent. The soap is creamy yet rock hard – I recommend cutting the bar into smaller slices to get the maximum amount of bubble from it.

Ingredients: Cocoa butter, lard, coconut oil, castor oil, canola oil, sodium hydroxide, distilled water, fragrance. Each bar weighs approximately 5.50 ounces.

This bar comes wrapped in clear cellophane.

For best results, handcrafted soaps should be stored out of standing water, preferably in a slotted or draining soap dish.

Our Arabian Spice soap was a huge hit with men and women at our last craft show.  Our supplier describes the fragrance as “a blend of Myrrh and Orange, with middle notes of Ginger, Cinnamon and Cloves…rounded out with Caraway Seed and Vanilla.”  The scent is warm, spicy with only a hint of sweet.

Our soap is beautifully colored with gold, amber, rust and tiny bits of black. We used plenty of olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter to produce a soap that great for your skin.

Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, paraben-free and phthalate-free fragrance, mica, activated charcoal.  Vegan friendly. Each bar weighs between 4 – 5 ounces.

Please note: this soap produces a light brown lather.

For best results, please store your soap away from direct streams of water when not in use. We recommend using a slotted or draining soap dish to keep your soap lasting as long as possible.

Our rosemary soap is completely natural – you won’t find any artificial colors or fragrances here. I used only rosemary essential oil to scent this soap. Keep in mind that while it does have a woodsy scent, the rosemary also has some menthol undertones. In keeping with the natural aspect of this soap, I used a bit a French Green clay to color to soap. French Green clay is a natural colorant – the clay is actually mined from the earth, finely ground, and dried in the sun. The resulting soap has just the tiniest tint of pale green to it.
