I admit it - I normally hate putting on store bought lotion. It's full of chemicals, it washes off easily, and never seems to do a great job moisturizing my skin. I recently started making these lotion bars, and though it may take just a little bit longer to put on, it is totally worth it. I'll NEVER go back to using any other lotion again! No joke, with 2 days of use, the lotion bar has cured a dry, rough elbow I have had for years.
I make my lotion bars using just a few simple ingredients. First, I buy chemical-free beeswax from an apiary located in Connecticut. The beeswax smells so good...just like honey. After that, I add prime pressed cocoa butter and a few simple oils. That's it! There are no chemicals or hard-to-pronounce ingredients. Though the lotion bar is "unscented" it smells like a mixture of honey and cocoa butter...simply wonderful!
To use the lotion bar, simply hold the bar in your hands until you feel the bar soften slightly. Then glide the bar along your skin wherever moisture is needed...hands, feet, body, face, even lips!
This lotion bar weighs 1.75 oz
